Botulinum toxin, otherwise known as Botox, is a protein that can be injected into the body to improve skin laxity, lessen the visible effects of ageing and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It’s one of the most popular cosmetic treatments, with proven effectiveness and little to no downtime after the procedure.
If you’re interested in this treatment then we recommend firstly arranging an initial consultation with us. It’s a chance for us to assess your condition and advise you on the most suitable treatment before proceeding. The consultation costs just €50, which will be deducted from the cost of the treatment should you decide to go ahead with it.
How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
The procedure itself is a simple one. A small amount of botulinum toxin is injected into the target area by your doctor.
When this happens, the botulinum toxin causes the muscles on your face to relax, thereby reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It can take as little as five minutes to perform and there is little to no downtime afterwards.
When will I start to see results?
The results vary from person to person. You will typically start to see results from your anti-wrinkle injections 5 – 10 days after your first treatment. These effects generally last for up to six months, at which point you will have to return to the clinic for a ‘top-up’ if you wish to maintain the results.
Are there any side effects?
This treatment generally comes with little to no side effects, although you may experience some slight bruising around the treated area afterwards.
In rare cases you may experience tiredness and headaches after your treatment.
How much do anti-wrinkle injections cost?
€180 for one area of the face.
€250 for two areas.
€320 for three areas.
