A weak pelvic floor is often the reason why men and women suffer from issues such as urinary incontinence or a poor quality sex life. We use pioneering BTL Emsella technology to strengthen the pelvic floor region and perform the equivalent of 11,200 Kegel exercises in just 28 minutes.

What is urinary incontinence?

Urinary incontinence happens as a result of a weak pelvic floor. For many people, urinary incontinence is an embarrassing, even shameful condition that affects both men and women. Those who are affected by it find themselves unable to hold urine in their bladder, leading to excessive toilet trips and occasionally some unwanted accidents.

It tends to affect older women more because of the changes that your body experiences after childbirth and during menopause. The BTL Emsella chair is a proven treatment for urinary incontinence.

How does it occur?

Urinary incontinence occurs when the muscles in the pelvic floor region – which are used to retain urine in the bladder – weaken and become incapable of holding urine. By strengthening these muscles you can not only avoid incontinence but also improve your sex life. This is because the muscles involved in generating pleasurable sexual feelings are all located in your pelvic floor.

Many people perform Kegel exercises as a form of urinary incontinence treatment. Although these can be effective, it will take a long time for you to see any benefits. Also, if you do not perform Kegels using the correct technique then you may not see any benefits at all.

How does the BTL Emsella treatment work?

The urinary incontinence treatment is performed using the BTL Emsella chair. It is quick, simple and non-invasive. The procedure starts with an assessment of your condition, during which we explain the mechanism of the BTL Emsella and how the treatment works. Then, you simply sit on the BTL Emsella chair and wait for the electromagnetic waves to stimulate muscle contractions in your pelvic floor. This strengthens the pelvic floor region and helps to stave off urinary incontinence.

After the procedure you should start to see an improvement in your condition within weeks. Although treating a weak pelvic floor is primarily done to alleviate urinary incontinence, the side effect of the treatment may be that it leads to an upturn in your sexual capacity, self-esteem and confidence.
