Biostimulators are injectable substances that stimulate the production of collagen in your body. Collagen is a protein that helps keep your skin looking firm, fresh and healthy. The advantage of biostimulators is that they are bioabsorbable, so they are absorbed into your body without harming it. At Gerka Clinic we use Sunekos biostimulators to carry out this treatment.
Before booking this treatment we recommend firstly booking an initial consultation for just €20. At your initial consultation we will assess your condition and let you know whether biostimulators are right for you.
What are biostimulators?
Biostimulators are substances that stimulate the natural processes of your body, normally in order to approve its appearance. Examples of biostimulators include hyaluronic acid, atelocollagen and amino acid.
Sunekos is our product of choice for biostimulators injections. It is a new patented formula of hyaluronic acid and amino acids that stimulates the production of elastin and collagen in your body.
In our experience Sunekos is one of the most effective ways of making your skin firmer, fresher and younger-looking.
How does the treatment work?
Biostimulators are injectables that can contain different substances depending on the brand. In our case, we use Sunekos Biostimulators. They are a patented formula of hyaluronic acid and amino acids that are injected into the middle layer (deep dermis) of your skin.
This procedure stimulates the production of collagen in your body. Collagen is a protein that is vital for maintaining the firmness and texture of your skin.
When will I start to see results?
Biostimulators work in a similar way to derma fillers, with the main difference being the speed you will start to see results.
Whereas the effect of derma fillers is clear almost immediately, biostimulators work over a more prolonged period of time. However, the results tend to be longer-lasting.
It may take between two and six months to see results, but these could last for up to two years.
Are there any side effects to be aware of?
You might feel some tenderness on the treated area after your procedure. You may also feel some small, invisible bumps on the treated area. Both of these side effects should disappear within 48 hours. If they do not, get in touch with us so we can suggest the best treatment.
